Laxative for severe constipation and the need for immediate relief

ACTION

Glycerin acts primarily osmotically, retaining water in the large intestine, resulting in increased water content in the stool and facilitating bowel movement. Additionally, it has a mild peristaltic action.

CHARACTERISTICS/USP

• Fast-acting: bowel movement usually occurs within 5 minutes (though it may take up to 30 minutes)
• Does not interact with other medications
• Can be administered as a supplement to chronic constipation treatments
• Contains plant-based glycerin

DOSAGE & USAGE

For children aged 2 years and older: 1 child suppository

Place in the refrigerator for half an hour before use. Wet the suppository with a little water before use, and allow at least 10 minutes without a bowel movement for full action. For children aged 6 years and older: If a bowel movement does not occur within 30 minutes, a second suppository may be administered within the next hour.

Using a higher dosage may cause intestinal irritation, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
