Laxative for severe constipation issues and immediate relief needs

ACTION

Glycerin primarily acts osmotically by binding water in the large intestine, which increases the water content in the stool and facilitates bowel movements. It also has a mild peristaltic effect.

CHARACTERISTICS/USP

• Fast-acting: bowel movement typically occurs within 5 minutes (though it may take up to 30 minutes)
• Does not interact with other medications
• Can be used in conjunction with treatments for chronic constipation
• Contains plant-derived glycerin

DOSAGE & USAGE

1 infant enema. Allow at least 3 minutes to pass without a bowel movement for full effect. Bowel movement should occur within 5-30 minutes. Administration can be repeated after 3 days.

Using a higher dosage may cause irritation to the intestines, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
